Love Song from PBS Carrier

If you caught any of the great 10-part reality series from PBS called Carrier, you hopefully caught the episode with the beautiful song, "Never Stop Searching for You". The song is written and played by sailor Kenny "Mana" Vida accompanied only by his ukulele. It wraps up an episode where he stands at the rail of the ship singing and it's a sincere, soulful tribute to the loved ones the sailors leave behind. The song rang in my head all night in a somewhat haunting way as it truly captures the break in relationships that men and women in the service experience. I was happy to find a "video" of it online.

This show is very well produced and a really great experience to watch, giving probably the most accurate view of how the sailors live. It's a fantastic character study and the series was touching and poignant all the way through. They made great choices in who to follow and focus on. And they made a really great choice in including this song in one of the episodes.

Enjoy this lovely song and try to catch the series.
