Forbes and several other news agencies are reporting that BestBuy is buying Napster for $121 million. This is surprising to me, as I can’t imagine that Napster is worth that kind of money.
Of course, I haven’t seen Napster’s balance sheet or income statement, but I am under the impression that digital delivery of entertainment will not be dominated by brand, but by convenience and context.
We’ll see, the big mountain of television still has a long way to go when it comes to digital delivery.
