David Byrne & Brian Eno - Everything That Happens Will Happen Today

My sister bought me this CD as a gift for X-Mas, and I’m finally getting around to listening to it. So far, its quite good. I just listened to the first five or six tracks while driving around doing some errands, and its good quality David Byrne stuff, and the Brian Eno subterfuge makes is shine.

You can’t miss David Byrne. His voice is unique and effervescent. Even if listeners may not know his name, they more likely than not know his voice. After a career with the Talking Heads, David Byrne has crafted an impressive second life to his career - championing world music and bridging it with pop.

I’ve always perceived Brian Eno as a totally independent, qualified, and talented musician. After buying and enjoying an album with “Saint Elmo’s Fire” on it by Brian Eno, I’ve held his skills with respect.

I wouldn’t have guess the two would put out an album together, but I’m glad they did. If you get a chance, have a listen.

Note - I’m hoping that my sister will read this, and finally get around to listening to two CDs I’ve bought her in the past: Donovan’s more recent album with “Cuckoo” and Ray Charles & Friends. The latter doesn’t jump out at you, but its an amazing album.

I love David Byrne. I Just YouTubed this CD to hear some of the songs, pretty rad. Your're right his voice is very distinct, that's what I like about him.
