This is certainly one of those cases of truth being stranger than fiction. Pretty much out of nowhere you have Joaquin Phoenix announcing his retirement from acting, strange but not unheard of. Why is he doing this, to pursue his passion for music. Understandable, the guy played Johnny Cash so his love for music seems evident. Does he want to sing, can he play an instrument, does he have a band? No, Joaquin Phoenix wants to be a rapper.
After watching his Letterman interview I believe he’s either lost his mind or this is all just a big publicity stunt. Either way if he’s serious about this rap thing at the very least he can’t be any worse than Kevin Federline.
