Bekay - Rapstar

If your white and you rap your going to be immediately compared to Eminem, its really unavoidable unless your say Paul Wall or maybe Bubba Sparxxx who have attracted enough mainstream success to have their own thing going on without the constant comparisons.  But even then the latter has pretty much disappeared in recent year.  As far as the Mainstream and its listeners are concerned their is one white rapper and his name is Eminem, all the rest trying to come up are clones or wannabes.

So yeah Eminem’s rise has been a gift and a curse to Caucasian emcees everywhere and Bekay certainly vents his frustrations on this track.  I imagine its like being compared to that older brother who everyone seemed to look up to and measure you successes against.  Star athlete always getting the good grades.

Regardless of whether or not he’ll get any mainstream recognition, Bekay should at least develop a solid underground fan base because he is the real deal and not some Eminem imitator.  I don’t think I’m alone either if you scope out the impressive roster of rappers on his debut album Hunger Pains, but I’ll let the music and lyrics speak for themselves.

Not bad, the beat reminds me of House of Pain's *"Truth Crushed to the Earth Shall Rise Again"*.
